Tessa is a 3 year old, 70 pound pittie girl with a strong presence and an even stronger heart. She is active, smart, and happiest when she has something to focus on, whether that is outdoor time or proudly carrying around one of her oversized plush squeaky toys. She treats them like treasures and often falls asleep with one tucked close.
She bonds deeply with her people. Once she feels safe, her affectionate and goofy side comes out in full force. She is not the type to rush into new relationships, but when given the time to warm up, she forms steady, lasting connections. The trust she builds is real.
Tessa is crate trained, mostly housebroken, and knows basic commands. She does best with clear expectations and consistency. She can be protective of her favorite items, so a home that understands structure and thoughtful management will help her feel secure and confident.
She is currently working on polite interactions with other dogs through structured introductions. If she shares a home with another dog, it would need to be a well matched companion with mindful handling around food and toys. A quieter home without small children would allow her to settle in comfortably.
