Our Commitment: Matching Hearts, Building Families

We believe every animal deserves a loving forever home. We’re here to guide you through the adoption journey and help you find a companion with whom you can build a lasting bond.

The Adoption Journey

A Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Prepare for Decompression
    • Before applying, visit our Training Page to read our Guide to Decompression—a two-week decompression period is essential for your new dog’s transition. Please review and understand this process before submitting your application.
  2. Complete the Application
    • Start by filling out our adoption application. This helps us match you with the right dog based on your lifestyle, needs, and preferences. Transparency is key. We want to ensure the best fit for both you and your future pet!
    • If you are applying for a courtesy-posted, owner-to-owner dog, please use our separate
      Private Adoption Application.
  3. Home Check
    • Once your application is approved, a team member will reach out for additional information and schedule either a virtual or in-person home check.
  4. Connect with Our Team
    • We’ll arrange a phone call to discuss the adoption process, answer any questions, and provide more details about the pet you’re interested in.
  5. Meet & Adopt
    • Once approved, we’ll schedule your meet-and-greet—typically the day your new dog comes home. Be sure to have a crate set up and all necessary supplies ready, as your dog will immediately begin their 14-day decompression period.
  6. Trust the Process
    • Every day will get better, but patience is essential. Adjusting to a new lifestyle is a big change for your dog—and for you! Stay committed, follow the decompression plan, and know that our team is here to support you whenever you need guidance.
